I was born in Encinitas, I've lived in North County my entire life, and I currently live in Olde Carlsbad. My office is in Carlsbad Village. My dogs know every beach access point by heart. So when someone asks me what it's like to live in Carlsbad — I have thoughts.

$$$ Leucadia / Encinitas: Prices start to jump. Encinitas is the "trendy" place to live right now — and the prices reflect it. (I should know — I was born there.)
$$$$ Solana Beach / Del Mar: Another step up. Beautiful communities with a more exclusive feel — and pricing to match.
$$$$$ La Jolla: Prices spike significantly. The lifestyle is genuinely different — more formal, more exclusive, higher everything.
